RT Journal Article SR Electronic A1 Nusek, Jindřich T1 On the Appearance of the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Zdislavice in the 1680s JF Památky středních Čech YR 2022 VO 36 IS 2 SP 65 OP 70 DO 10.56112/psc.2022.2.05 UL https://pamatkysc.cz/en/artkey/psc-202202-0005.php AB The study introduces two crucial building plans from the Auersperg family archives in Haus-, Hof- und Staatsarchiv in Vienna that show the ground plan of the Church of Saints Peter and Paul in Zdislavice (Benešov District) in 1686 and a drawing with its western and southern wings probably from the same year. Using the plans and additional materials, the study pursues the development of the church after the fire in May 1699 when it was renovated before 1701 but the vaulted ceiling dates as late as 1839. Subsequently, the author seeks to identify in the current appearance of the church the elements of the original Early Baroque structure. The plans of the Zdislavice church, built by its patron Franziska Benigna von Weissenwolf probably in 1686, valuably complement our ideas about the provincial ecclesiastical architecture of the late 17th century.
